In 1991, after seeing some dreadful marketing efforts by there existing design firm, we approached Invitrogen and boldly stated that we can put them on the “biotech map” and create a brand identity like no other in the industry. Being the open minded, free thinkers that they were; they liked our style and hired us. That was the beginning of a nine year run of creating all of their marketing materials and developing a branding campaign that had the life sciences industry buzzing.
From their humble beginnings as a small biotech company, in quiet corner of Sorrento Valley, they are now one of the largest multinational life sciences companies in the world with over 50,000 products and $3 billion in sales.
Oxford and his team were very thorough in accessing out current brand situation, initiating the necessary research and establishing an effective plan of action. Their execution of the new marketing campaign was implemented quickly and efficiently with dramatic results. Within a short period of time, Invitrogen became a powerful voice in the biotech industry.
