As the leading monitor color calibration software in the industry, OptiCal by Colorvsion had horrible packing, lacking in a clear benefit, no shelf appeal and abysmal features and benefits listings. We fixed that. Powerful digital illustrations were commissioned to appeal to graphic artist, which were our primary target audience. A new logo and tagline “Color on Target” was introduced and all the other good marketing stuff hit the packaging from all sides. Initial in-store shelf testing with various prototypes affirmed our assumptions for the design.

Buyers loved it. Sales soared. And the packaging won numerous design awards
